Will there be a season 3 of 'Ginny & Georgia' on Netflix?

As of last week, the long-awaited second season of Ginny & Georgia (2020– ), about the eponymous mother and daughter, is available on Netflix. For everyone who has seen the six new episodes by now, the big question is: will there be a third season of the compelling series? In this article, we address all the news surrounding a possible new season.

Season 2 now on available

At the start of season 2, only a few weeks have passed since the explosive season 1 finale. "Both Georgia's reaction to Ginny and Austin's abandonment and Ginny's newfound knowledge shape the mother/daughter relationship for the rest of season 2", Netflix said of the new episodes.

Will there be a third season of Ginny & Georgia?

Season 2 seemed to be working toward a final ending, until the final plot twist... Georgia finally got her fairy tale wedding to Paul at City Hall after she told him all about her past. He decided to stand by her and had a lawyer and a cop help him leave town and protect his new wife.

But as the couple enjoyed their first dance, police stormed into their ceremony and arrested the bride for the murder of Tom Fuller. And of course Gabriel was there, because he was the one who called the police... So now Ginny, Paul and the rest of the group must find a way to clear her name (even though she did kill him).

Despite the popularity of the series, Netflix hasn't renewed Ginny & Georgia yet with a third season. For Netflix series, the first 28 days are especially important in terms of ratings. So whether Netflix will renew the series with a third season remains to be seen. Hopefully then Netflix will be a little faster than the two years it took until season 2 premiered.
