Eddie Murphy is back on our screens in You People (2023), a brand new comedy on Netflix. The new movie is already striking a chord with viewers, and subscribers are lying double: "I laughed so hard I shat my slacks." writes one enthusiastic Twitter user.

'You People' follows a new couple and their families as they delve into modern love and family dynamics amid clashing cultures, societal expectations and generational differences.

Jonah Hill plays Ezra, who would just love to be in a relationship. When he accidentally confuses a dark-skinned woman with an Uber driver, the chance encounter leads to a relationship. "I've never felt so understood by anyone," he says. When he wants to ask her to marry him, he decides to meet her family first. But her father, played by Eddie Murphy, is not keen on having a white son-in-law.
